Safe Conflict Family Growing

The Coup on War events in New York & San Fran brought sixy more people to the Safe Conflict Family. With the bad news on T.V. and bloody war updates, there is nothing more important on my list than making sure war never happens again.

Current efforts to strengthen peace in the world have been insufficient. It's easy to be cynical. Analysts tell us that, on one hand, there is ineffective idealism; or on the other hand, compromise and "realistic" resignation.

UN Mission to Nepal Comes to a Close

More than five years after the end of the civil war that was responsible for the deaths of more than 13,000 people, the UN peacekeeping mission to the country is leaving. The UN peacekeeping mission was stationed in Nepal to monitor the aftermath of the signing of the 2006 Comprehensive Peace Agreement which ended the ten year war, abolished the monarchy, allowed the Maoists into government, and disarmed them.
